Don't apoligize for the length , I'm sure that most of us want more rather than less. I like long reviews , even when I'm not wrting them : ) Interesting that it appears Billy asked her to open. I was wondering about that when I saw his tour schedule. He was at Stubb's a few days after the ACL fest , & had many US stops in the venues Patty hits. Between the support she gets from other artists , & the glowing reviews from most critics , her future should be assured. Patty has a place to stand. Just have to get more people to give that first attentive listening. I had to find me A place to stand Patty Griffin "A Place to Stand" Don > Hi everyone, > > I finally get to review instead of read :) ................ I talked to her sound tech after my third show in 3 nights last night. He said he's a big fan of Patty's, and has worked with her a few times. He'd been wondering if anyone was going to say something about the disc...we talked about how wonderful Patty is for a few minutes. Incidentally...I discovered this weekend that the folks that I met from the EDA list apparently don't agree with me when I tell them that I think Patty is a far superior songwriter! Oh well...they're young...they'll learn some day. I'll be initiating some of them into the joys of Patty with some trades... Later...Rob _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V6 #400 *********************************
