All the artist did a good job, but of course patty was still my favorite. Garrison Star was quite funning thanks to her awkward stage presence, and her music was pretty good. Especially her last song when she covered mary chapin. I was sorta hoping Emmylou and Patty would do One Big Love together, but they mainly they just sung back-up with each other. However, the highlight for me was after the show I got to go back stage. My cousin works there, so he took me back so I could meet them. Most of the time they were talking to the 2 people who won the scarfs. They had flown in from Missouri and had paid $1100 dollars, so they should have been talking to them alot, lol. However, I finally got a chance to say hello to patty and tell her I enjoyed the show, and get some cd covers signed, and a picture. She was very nice, and I couldnt think of anything else to say, so I just asked if she was ever going to do a live albulm, and she said she didnt think so. It was all I could think of at the time, because my mind kinda froze and I couldnt think of anything cool to say. At least I didnt say something dumb(or at least hope i didn't). I wanted to ask if she thought Silver Bell would ever be released now that she was with ATO Records, but I chickened out, because I know the whole silver bell thing wasnt a pleasant experience for her. Anyhow, they were moving out of their pretty quick, so that was all I got to talk to her, but she was very nice and gracious. After they left we stayed backstage for awhile, trying to wait out the storm, but ended up having to stay in Birmingham that night, because we couldnt make it back to mississipi due to the tornados. I am not sure if they tried to take the busses thru all that, or if they were staying in Birmingham. Regardless(excluding the weather) it was a great night, and if you have a minute I would encourage you to visit the http://www.vvaf.org/ where you can learn more about the landmine free world movement, and buy pattys cds, and the scarfs like the ones they auctioned off. peace, Clint 'Stone ' Dalrymple http://www2.msstate.edu/~tcd1 - ------- its like being upset on christmas. you know your mom isnt buying you that assault rifle you wanted, but you still get upset when you dont get it on christmas morning _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Nov 2002 19:41:35 -0000 From: "Matthew Smith" Subject: MM: RE: Hey London people!
