So I open it up and there's a pic of a buncha people, and Patty and Dave holding hands! Oh it's adorable. And, there is a great article on her and the 'artist friendly' ATO. I'm just waiting for the day he takes her on tour. Cuz man Norah Jones was a BIG dissapointment. Cool, ~darc http://www.darcieminerband.comGet more from the Web. I went to her Austin City Limits taping recently and thought her show was very powerful. I can see how she'd be too sleepy for opening a huge DMB stage show, but I would be disappointed if people around me were being rowdy and obnoxious while i was trying to enjoy quiet music, so I guess it's a bad idea for everyone, even those that do like her. Loud music isn't always good music, and good music isn't always loud. Darcie, give it some time... I can see how you might not be into softer vocals, but the musicianship of her live show is really sweet stuff. She's a good songwriter too and has a great repetoire. Norah was putting the entire crowd to sleep what with her mediocre piano skills, her thin, weak voice and her lack of stage presence. And from what she was saying, nearly every song was co-written with her band-mates, which does not make her by any means a great songwriter. There's potential there, but until it develops a little more I've got better things to listen to....like PATTY :) and Jason Mraz.
