Hi folks :-) I just got an email from Patty's management that Patty will be on the CBS show entitled "Sunday Morning" on....you guessed it, Sunday morning! This coming Sunday, the 26th of May to be exact. In the eastern US time zone, this show airs from 9:00am to 10:30am, please check your local listings in other time zones. Her management did not specify if Patty would be singing, cooking a souffle or fishing on the Rio Grande, but I would imagine she is going to perform and perhaps be interviewed. I have not watched this show in quite some time, so I do not know if their musical guests just perform or if it goes beyond that. Anyone watch that show recently? They don't really have "musical guests" that I know of---more like quirky feature stories or think pieces that would never make it on the national news. It's not at all like a weekday morning news show. I love it. I would think that Patty will be the focus of one of their features ("Jinxed artist finally gets her just Rewards"?? "Folky Alterna-chick Makes Good"??), but then again, I could be wrong. I've never seen them have live guest, and don't suppose this will be either, their pieces are generally of the in-depth (10 min) variety, some concert footage, some interview footage and background info. The show is one of my favorites because of its laid back, cerebral style, no hard sell, sensationalized bs.
