Just wanted to let my fellow New Yorkers know that I was able to get tickets to Patty's April 9 and 10 shows by calling Joe's Pub directly. 212-539-8778. ($25 per ticket with no fees! What a bargain.) Telecharge was supposed to begin selling tickets today (Monday) apparently, but when I called around noon, the shows weren't yet in their computers. Anyway, forgive me if this info's already been put on the list. Sometimes I can't keep up with everything. Has anyone ever been to Joe's Pub before? I haven't. From what the guy there told me, it sounds like the only way to guarantee good seats is to make reservations for dinner. I'm going to both shows, of course, but I'll probably just do the dinner thing one of the nights. Any advice on getting good seats would be appreciated. Thanks. For those of you who have only heard about the magic of a Living Room show, this is your chance to see what the excitement is all about! Los Angeles resident Randi Driscoll, who entertained EDAF beach cleanup participants a few seasons ago at the Campbell's, is going to be back in town to promote her new album The Play. She's gained national recognition for her song "What Matters" from which she gives all proceeds to the Matthew Shepard Foundation and other anti-hate charities. The song is also going to be featured in an upcoming NBC movie about Matthew Shepard's life. (For more info & downloads, visit www.randidriscoll.com) Amy Emerman is a New York City based singer/songwriter who has just begun to take her love of singing and playing to a wider audience. Amy, who's musical influences include Jewel, Patty Griffin, and Natalie Merchant, has just cut her work schedule to part time to make room for music, singing and songwriting to play a larger part in her life. Please come out and support the rise of these talented singer songwriters! There will be some refreshments provided and you are welcome to bring additional food & beverages. I'm 100% pro-shn. They are extremely popular in the trading world as they are a lossless compression. However, they cannot be traded via audiogalaxy because audiogalaxy only looks for things with an mp3 extension so as to not spread viruses or let others into your files that you don't want in. I believe we could use somethin like Direct Connect for this though. We'd just need lots of people with lots of bandwidth. - here's hoping!
