I have almost put together the whole Silver Bell CD! (How sad is it, that I would LOVE to pay for this album, but the only way to get it is to download it for free!!) Anyway, I spent a good chunk of the morning looking stuff up, so I thought I would share! I went back and found Mike's post from something like April 2000 of the expected Track listing for Silver Bell. Perhaps someone with a real copy could verify it did not change. Here it is: Expected Silver Bell Final Track List: ===================================== 1. Little God 2. Boston 3. Perfect White Girls 4. Truth #2 5. What You Are 6. Silver Bell 7. Driving 8. Sooner Or Later 9. Top Of The World 10. Sorry And Sad 11. Making Pies 12. Mother Of God 13. One More Girl 14. Scott Antall santall@westlake.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 3 Mar 2002 10:40:55 -0800 From: aadler@juno.com Subject: MM: Silver Bell track listing The expected Silver Bell track listing has been posted for months at http://www.geocities.com/~cornflake_girl/pattynews.html I think Rachel deserves special thanks for always being on top of these things and sharing them with everyone. If you haven't seen her site, check it out. I'm pretty sure her lyrics pages were a big help in setting up pattygriffin.net. And my experiences match those of others, who haven't found studio versions of the songs that have been available as live bootlegs for a while now. Perhaps whoever it is that got their hands on a copy of the Silver Bell album just wants us to be able to hear all of the songs in one form or another and therefore thinks it would be redundant to post studio versions of these songs. I'm pretty well satisfied to just be able to hear "Little God" and "Driving" finally, esp. after reading a review of Silver Bell from over a year ago at ladysixstring.com 's page on Patty. I went to get info , to possibly catch it on my trip , but there's no mention of Beth doing anything. The last gig posted on her site was January 13. I've heard comparisons to Janis since her demise , but when I saw Beth in one of Dave's favorite hangouts last year , she was by far , the closest anyone has gotten. After seeing her show , I was afraid that all other shows would be too tame by comparison. Besides being a wild woman , she has all the skills ; writing , singing , also great on the keyboard. I am sorely disappointed. Hope she didn't have another relapse. Just found Beth's name prominently billed on a Janis site , but the reviews make no mention of her , & the show site has someone else listed with Cathy Richardson as doing the singing. Oh well , guess I'd better tune up for my LONG post.
