Alan, Believing that I know precisely what the letters stand for, I support the idea. In theory. And my only hesitation has nothing to do with guns because my brain really doesn't work like that...at least not in a venue like the original Grand Ol' Opry. (Perhaps in a darkened alleyway in a bad part of town, but I try to avoid dark alleys.) I hesitate to use your suggestion on the grounds of being raised a southern female. Don't picture Scarlet O'Hara, please, but I WAS raised with "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Too bad those guys weren't....and now that I think about it, "If you can't say something nice, shut the f*#k up!" would have been extremely satisfying to say to them, if not particularly effective. But then, you say it does work...? Maybe next time, I'll get above my raisin' as we say here in the south, and give it a try. Peace, Y'all- Melanie - --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. For the more polite amongst us we could say S.T.Flip U I guess. Hopefully that wouldn't get you shot. I'm trying to get the money together to have a music "Listening" venue with strict rules on talking and no smoking. One day it will happen and maybe, just maybe Patty will sing her stuff there to an appreciative crowd. If any of you are coming over here to the UK and would like to visit some "listening "venues let me know and I'll pass on addresses. Anyway topic closed, back to the music.....Any one heard of a singer called Rod Picott ?? Total quality . TC Alan ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2002 10:01:30 -0500 From: "Luca, Joseph" Subject: MM: Love Is a Many-Fangled Thing Howdy- Sunday's New York Times published an article on some of country music's most, um, intriguing song titles, particularly relating to love. I know that many of these titles have appeared in emails before, but this seemed to be the most comprehensive list I've seen. After all, we are on the cusp of Valentine's Day. By the way, I can't say that I don't own any of the songs, either... It's not for me, so if anyone would like the cd, please email me privately with your address and I'll be happy to send it to you. Stacey Earle meets Lucinda Williams is the way I'd describe her.
