I can't believe we are going to get studio versions of Long Road (Home?) and Nobody's Cryin'!!!!!!! I am so excited! I was extremely disappointed when I heard that Silver Bell didn't have either of those tunes. I also must admit that I was a little skeptical of the overall feel of that record after hearing the sampler... a little heavy-handed I thought... not that I wouldn't have bought it the day it came out... if it had come out. I imagine it will come out one day anyway... once Patty becomes a bigger name and Interscope knows they can make money off it. But Long Road home and Nobody's Cryin' are my two favorite Patty tunes of all time! Especially Nobody's Cryin'! That one is number one. That tune just kills me. That line about swinging off the gates of hell... wow. Amazing song. Now if only 'We Are Water' were on there as well... then 1000 Kisses would have my *three* favorite Patty tunes on it :) I can't wait! :) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 Jan 2002 10:08:28 -0800 From: "Israelson Family" Subject: MM: 1000 Kisses track list I can't wait, either, but I'm not at all sure that "Long Road" is the same song as "Long Ride Home/Long Road Home/Long Black Limousine." Actually, I'm fine with that, too, since "Long Ride Home" boasts arguably the best sound quality on LFML. And, although I am fortunate enough to possess two versions of "Nobody's Cryin'," I say the more the merrier! I'm really jazzed about "Stolen Car," too, since my only copy of that one is on cassette (thanks again, Jen--that was you, right?). The inclusion of "We Are Water" would have been blissful (that's my absolute favorite of her unreleased stuff), but how can any of us be disappointed when a new Patty Griffin release is mere weeks away? When's the Internet pre-sale? ;) Peace, Larry I in LA - ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Lewis" Sent: Saturday, January 12, 2002 7:50 AM > ...I can't believe we are going to get studio versions of Long Road (Home?) and Nobody's Cryin'! ...Now if only 'We Are Water' were on there as well... then 1000 Kisses would have my *three* favorite Patty tunes... ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 Jan 2002 10:19:30 -0800 (PST) From: Dave Short Subject: MM: Luv From My Lipssss Speaking of, I received of LFML (2 cds) from a friend, but don't have any clue what these tunes are. Does someone have a track list of the tracks on these CDs? And, possibly, when/where they were recorded? I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could forward it to me. Thanks mucho! And I have to agree about the "We Are Water" song although for my money "Top Of The World" is THE song of the unreleased gems.
