I usually skip right past that song because it gives me the willies. weird i suppose. NPC: there was a girl on this list from the east coast, possibly NYC, who was going to get to see Brenda Weiler when she was playing there, and I'm just wondering if she ever got to see her or if anyone else on this list has had the chance. She's from Fargo, ND and lives in Minneapolis right now. She usually plays here at Christmas time as she comes home to visit her family for the holidays. She played last Friday night with Kid Dakota and they were so fabulous together. If anyone gets the chance to see her, don't pass it by, I think you'd love her. Lines like, "we caught a little fish" and "please throw the little fish back" make me think that. Perhaps a way for Patty to deal with something awful that happened to her as a child. Just conjecture, but I've always detected an underlying sense of menace in that song.... - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Hancill" To: Sent: Saturday, December 22, 2001 5:29 AM Subject: MM: Re: What's Big Daddy All About > The Patty Griffin FAQ at: > > http://www.geocities.com/~cornflake_girl/pattybio/pattyfaq.htm > > simply says the following: > > A: Nobody's really sure- if you ask her, she just smirks. > > Could it be something, er, rude..? > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V5 #286 *********************************
