I know someone who's interested, but don't know what to tell her. I figured this list was archived somewhere and I'd just go back and do some digging, but I can't find it if it is. Can someone help? Thanks, Melanie ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Oct 2001 17:24:53 -0500 From: "Sandi Campbell" Subject: MM: RE: Patty in Detroit I'm getting excited, but I'm not sure if it's warranted yet. Could you clarify if this means Patty will actually be coming to Chicago! Please let me know, because I am totally there if she is! - -----Original Message----- From: owner-mad-mission@smoe.org [mailto:owner-mad-mission@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Eugene Wendland Sent: Friday, October 12, 2001 10:32 PM To: mad-mission Subject: MM: Patty in Detroit Hi All I've just recieved an email from Maria Montenegro, Senior Manager of Communications for the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation, confirming that Ms Griffin will be joining Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Nanci Griffith and my personal favorite (next to Patty of coarse!) Bruce Cockburn for an acoustic evening of music. Woo Woo!!! (me doing a happy dance). I never could make the Sedona shows featuring these two, but now I'll get to see them in my own back yard, a dream come true for me. To quote Ms Montenegro; "These generous artists who give their time and talent to promote our cause and amplify our message have visited our organization's - Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) - www.vvaf.org - programs overseas and have experiences and stories to share. The proceeds from the six-city tour will benefit the victims of war that VVAF assists abroad." I've taken the schedule from www.cockburnproject.net below: 2 December 2001 Chicago Theater Chicago, Illinios, USA. 3 December 2001 State Theater Detroit, Michigan, USA. 4 December 2001 Soldier & Sailors Hall Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. 5 December 2001 Allen Theater Cleveland, Ohio, USA. 6 December 2001 Keswick Theater Philadelphia, New Jersey, USA. 7 December 2001 Beacon Theater New York, New York, USA. Can't wait Eugene Wendland ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V5 #239 *********************************
