(NPC)/Gillian Welch ["Rebecca & Sean" Subject: MM: Re: Is this thing on? (NPC)/Gillian Welch The new Gillian Welch/David Rawlings CD is one of my picks for best of the year. The songs are timeless in musical structure, some of which seem as though they could have been penned forty, fifty, sixty years ago, with sometimes contemporary lyrics. The playing is superb! I once read a concert review of Ms. Welch and it compared her style to winter. It might not make sense to everyone, but it makes total sense to me. Do yourself a favor and go buy this album! The title track will not leave your head for a while. By the way, Lisa, get in touch with me about the you-know-what CD.
