Casey Chambers anyone? Kasey Chambers is just awesome live. Her CD "The Captain" is good and getting better and better as I listen to it, but it doesn't really showcase her talent like seeing her live. I saw her in Chicago at Schubas and she floored me. She has an incredible voice, she can sound like a little girl one minute, and then just flat belt out some songs the next. Her original songs are good but the songs I was most impressed with were her covers.....I was listening through the crack in the door to her warming up before the show and she was doing Hard Rain by Dylan and it was beautiful. She does a good mix of stuff. My favorite CD of hers is one I put together off of a certain now defunct music provider, of some originals and some covers. I would definitely recommend her. Ever hear of Bob Dylan, Warren Zevon, Kris Kristofferson, Roy Orbison, John Lennon....... NO woman has ever come close to having the impact on music that Bob Dylan alone has. Ever. Period. Sheesh. What a statement you made. ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V5 #176 *********************************
