Artwork is available , & can be downloaded from www.johnfhiggins.com You can also find the setlist there , & other interesting info about the music. I also wanted to let everyone know that some of the songs have different names than Rachel has on her lyrics site or what was on the earlier compilation. I think that Rachel has the correct names , & either they were changed or whoever did the artwork got them wrong , but I'm not sure. I'll list them with Rachel's names second. The Longer You Wait - The Gate You Don't Have Me - You Decided Song for the Eighties - Never Gonna' Be (Not on Rachel's site , from the earlier compilation) Boxes on the Lawn - Boxes No More Illusions - Illusions A tree is method of distribution that's used when someone wants to share music with many others. Volunteers (Branches) get a copy from the original , & make copies for others(Leaves). That way , the person who initiates doesn't have to make a burdensome number of them. Usually branches have their leaves send them blank CDs & money for postage & other costs , then copy & send out the CDs. How they want to do it is up to the branch. Nobody makes any money from it. On the contrary , it usually ends up costing some money. The purpose is to get Patty's unreleased music into the hands of her fans. I've gotten a lot more requests than I anticipated , considering that the last offer wasn't very long ago , & would welcome any more volunteers to be branches. I'll keep you posted. Be patient , it's takes a while to get organized. By the way , the LFML set received rave reviews on the first go- around. Those of you who only have Patty's released CDs are in for a treat. Don and I were up front and she put on a great show! She even gave me her flowers since she said it was too hot for them on the bus. Wish she would come do it again this year! I could really use a good Patty concert. Her biggest and most loyal fan following is there! After her performance at the XPN Singer/Songwriter festival in Philly back in '98, she was granted the ONLY encore that an opening act has ever been granted in the history of the festival. The crowd would not quiet down and let her and the band leave, it was beautiful! She's been playing Philly alot since mid-'96 as far as I know, the "gradual working up of her popularity" idea has definitely worked there. Ever since the XPN festival all of her shows in and around the Philly area are sold out within a short amount of time of the tickets going on sale. It means you have to stay on top of when they're going on sale.. but I would much prefer an enthusiastic crowd than being assured of being in the front row. It doesn't hurt that Patty LOVES the city of Philadelphia. Ann Arbor has a great venue (The Ark) which is perfect for Patty's solo shows. It's very intimate, and has a great sound system.. for those in the Philly area the whole set up reminded me a little bit of her shows at the Painted Bride. As for playing San Fran.. she WAS just there late last year sometime. Don from PA drove out to the show as the matter of fact, so maybe he would have a better idea of when exactly that show was. I believe it was at Slim's. :-) (Go Giants!!!) Ok, I just felt like talking about Patty for awhile.. I'm off to do some "more important" stuff with my day.
