May your marriage be blessed! On another note, since Dave might be the last wonderful guy on earth who is straight, will you marry me? Heck, I know that I am much older than you and I have kids you could almost call peers, but it was worth a shot. Now really, all you women out there who are between the ages of 20 and 30, you got to meet this gem! Now for the Patty content. WXPN talked about Patty's fans waiting patiently for her new CD, right before they played her new version of Mary. That just gave me a glimmer of hope.I think this list lost their hope, I know I did, but now I see a flicker of it. Can't remember if it's 3 or 4. Ok, ok.. I can always count on Karla to put in a good word for me. Thanks Karla.. :-) Seriously now, I AM currently accepting applications from ladies ages 18-28 (or so) that can accept my Patty Griffin and Miami Hurricanes football obssessions. Since you are reading this, I know that you all can comply with 1/2 of the deal. The only other prerequisite is that you should be an animal lover. Feel free to email any responses to THIS email address. :-) I would also like to note that Karla is very sweet, and quite a beautiful woman. Since I am only of average appearance I don't know I could feel comfortable walking around with such a pretty girl all the time... although it WOULD be nice. On a somewhat Patty note.. I would once again like to say that it never ceases to amaze me how many cool people are attracted to Patty's music, which of course leads to this email list. Most artists have their good and their bad fans, and with the exception of Evil Gary, Patty seems to have none of the latter. I don't want to offend anyone , but from my point of view , if Patty Griffin isn't singing "Wayfaring Stranger" , why bother ? Congrats to Rachel & Tom ! You'll have to be to get into Patty's show at 6 Degrees. I called today to get some information and found out that the show costs a whopping $85 per person. Yeah, you read that right. Eighty five smackeroos. This includes a cocktail hour, dinner, and then the show. They call themselves "Nashville's Finest American Progressive Cuisine." Their average meal costs $41 to $60, , so that means that you're paying approximately $20 for Patty, adding $10 or so for drinks. They said they were almost full already, so I'm assuming this is fairly small restaurant. It could be an amazing, intimate place to hear Patty or a terrible place for live music. I don't know if I can afford to find out though. Maybe if I start saving my pennies now... But if you want to take the plunge and make reservations, here's their number: (615) 244-3888 Their website: http://nashville.citysearch.com/profile/11427947/ Me, I think I'll stick to the free show following night. - -Misty ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Apr 2001 22:34:54 -0400 From: "Donald Henn" Subject: MM: Re: More good news > Thanks again to Misty.
