I may not be the first to list this information... I am sure I will not be the last. But, today I went in search of the new Emmylou Harris cd (and Joan Osborne, but could not find Joan). Well... upon reading the musicians who appear.. I come across Patty Griffin. I was so excited. My Baby Needs a Shepard and Hour of Gold both contain Patty w/ harmony vocals. Her voice is very hushed in Hour of Gold. She is able to be heard in My Baby Needs a Shepard, though. Also, Emmylou has covered Patty's One Big Love. She sings and has Julie Miller and Jill Cunniff(of Lucious Jackson) singing harmony vocals. For those who are looking for Patty's version of One Big Love.. this is not the place. I found it to be slow paced and almost boring (my opinion). But, still nice to see Patty's name and words. Also on the album.. Buddy Miller, Dave Matthews, Kate McGarrigle and Bruce Springsteen. Hope this does not seem a waste of a post..
