Brothers and Sisters of the list- Greetings to y'all. I've been lurking for a while now, because I haven't really had much to say. I remember how this all got started, I used to have AOL, and one day I received an instant message from someone asking me if I'd like to me on a list such as this. That had to have been at least 4 years ago. So, here I am, still reading and occasionally posting, and still loving Patty Griffin! That is why we're all here, right? Whenever I put in Living With Ghosts, I'm still moved by it. Anyways, what's my point??? Well, I must sign off now. I am leaving for Israel to study abroad for the year, and my e-mail access will not be that frequent. I'd just like to thank you all for a marvelous plethora of good things. Whenever I had a music question, this is where I brought it. I corresponded with a few of you for a while, and met great people! So, thanks to all of you. It's been a wonderful list. Maybe when I return next summer, I'll sign on again, if I can figure out how. Here's the thing.... How do you sign off this thing? Can someone email me privately and let me know? Thanks. Good luck to all of you. "So I'll just say fare thee well........" Your fellow fan - Judy ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Aug 2000 16:06:24 -0400 From: "Donald Henn" Subject: MM: Excerpt from Denver Rocky Mountain News review-Mark Brown Griffin opened the show with "Blue Sky" and a strong set that covered everything from scuffed-up folk to near-punk rock , drawing from her brilliant debut album , "Living With Ghosts" and it's 1998 follow-up , "Flaming Red". The Chicks crowd embraced the petite woman with the loud guitar and sterling voice. This opening slot probably converted a few fans , and the unreleased material Griffin played from her next album (due out next year) showed that her best days still lie ahead ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V4 #225 *********************************
