Dumb girl, I know. grr. > MacLean covered the Maker which Dave Matthews also covered just 3 weeks ago > when he played Comerica Park! YEE! but i WAS there!!!!! I actually didn't have a ticket (didn't have the money when they went on sale) and ended up going to sit outside the park to listen. Some generous girl sold me her extra for face value and I ended up on Main Floor Center about 20 rows from the stage!!!! I was totally and completely in bliss. hahaha..... And The Maker was awesome.....the entire show....sigh.... I loved when they'd put the waxing crescent moon on the screens....just beautiful. okay....sorry...i know OT. For a bit of an ON-topic note, is what I've been reading from many of you true? Patty's new cd has been pushed back until January??? noo....... :( I was SO looking forward to a nice birthday present from Patty (my bday is in September). Jen P. (PGCoverTape@aol.com ) is doing the Patty covers. While I'm sure that some are doing studio work , my guess is that most of the musicians on the list don't have the capabilty. I'm sure that a tape or MD recording of a live show would be fine. Good luck ! Don > I'll volunteer to do a Patty cover, but I don't know if I'll have any way to > record it. Haven't received my poster yet. Nor have I received my invitation to next year's Cannes Film Festival. Or the Superbowl. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong mailbox. And despite my letters and phone calls, the Swedish Bikini Team has still not parachuted to my front yard as of today. 2) Even though the computer keyboard does not have a cents sign, it generally isn't needed. Why, you ask? And that's a very good question. Because for most word processing you can just hit ALT CTRL C and it magically appears. Email uses ASCII so you would need the ASCII codes. ˘ is ALT 0162. And that nifty English (and Irish) Ł sign is ALT 0163. I popped Ms. Griffin (Living With Ghosts) into my stereo over the weekend while I was cleaning my cottage and spraying for bugs (what a loser weekend THAT turned out to be). Anyway, the sirens were a lot clearer and I could hear more of them than I originally thought in the songs. I can't give you an exact count or anything, but I remember going "that siren's still there and real close this time. golly gee oh wiz." Well, all except the "golly gee oh wiz" part. gotta do some of this computer work, it's kinda pressing. peace, love, and vegetable rights, paul ************************************** * Petomane Thru-way??? But it was so neat the way we were received,” Seidel said. So, the Chicks took it upon themselves to share music they love with an audience that may not necessarily be diehard fans of that type of music. Griffin was chosen after she caught the Chicks' eye on Lilith. “With Patty it was like discovering an album that you fall in love with and you want to share it with all your friends,” Seidel said. - ---From http://www.telegram.com/features/time_out/dixie.html I assume Martie's talking about "Flaming Red," but I'm not totally sure. After all, "Let Him Fly" is from "Living With Ghosts"... Thanks to everyone who responded to my Nashville question. As far as I can tell, nothing is definite yet, but most "signs point to yes." Keep your fingers crossed for me. Patty isn't opening for many shows near me, other than Birmingham. Cd tree Hi all- It looks like we may be able to CD tree these recent{April} Patty concerts- I am interested to know how many list members would want a set so that we can know how many CD branch volunteers we need. We have 6 Cd branch people now, but one will be needed for the master Cd's for each branch, so I think we need a few more. I doubt that branch people will want to make more than 10 sets each. Any CD branch volunteers can e-mail me with CC/AA CD branch in the subject line. You will need to reimburse the master seed branch person for blank Cd's and postage. Those interested in being a leaf- getting a copy - e-mail me with CC/AA CD leaf in the subject line. You will need to reimburse your branch person for blank Cd's and postage. Anyone who has already sent me a blank tape for this can still get it on tape- or e-mail me about it and I can give you another concert instead if you prefer to wait for this one on CD. We still are in the works of setting up the CDs so it will most likely be a couple of weeks. Reminder- these Cd's are freely distributed by fans for fans- never to be sold- a matter of honor. The branch people willingly donate their time, but should not need to take on expenses to provide these Cd's for leaf people.
