The Steve Earle show was incredible. I've seen him several times before, but this was one of his best shows. In fact, it was one of his longest shows coming in at about 2 & 1/2 hours with 3 encores. He played just about all the new songs from "Transcendental Blues" plus the usual Earle classics like "Someday", "Copperhead Road" and "I Ain't Ever Satisfied." But the encores were the highlight of the night which included Nirvana's "Breed", Springsteen's "State Trooper" and the Beatles' "No Reply". He also did his new cover of the Chamber Bros.' "Time Has Come Today" and man did he let loose on that one! All in all, it was another incredible performance by SE. And Marah was great in the opening slot. Man, these guys can really jam! It's cool to see an old fashioned garage band out there kickin' ass and takin' names, especially one coming from my hometown of Philadelphia. (Okay, so I'm biased.) Anyway, check 'em out when they come to your town. See ya!
