You da ho? - No, I da ho!) about 2 months ago visitin' the fam, and my mom was watching that lawyer show with Dixie Carter and that hot guy from Chile whose name I can't remember -- I think it's called Family Law or Family Practice or something like that... ANYWAY... At the end of the show there was this sort of sad montage scene set to a song called "Make it Go Away", and I thought I HAVE to know who sings this song. The lyrics were so truthful and poignant ("make it go away or make it better. Isn't that what love's supposed to do...?", and the music simply beautiful -- and who was it? (Drumroll:) HOLLY COLE! Of course, since I'm poor as shit I haven't been able to buy a CD of hers yet, but I've found some stuff on Napster and I really like it all. She reminds me a little of Jann Arden, actually - and I think Holly Cole is a Canuck, too. But Holly Cole is more jazz tinged. So there's my 10 cents (ever notice there's a dollar sign but no cents sign on the keyboard...?).
