Just for the record. I don't support the NRA. I don't support the Rep. or Dem. party. I don't listen to Rush. I listen to music. I did one time, while at an Ani DeFranco concert in Philly, leave because she wanted to force feed me her views on a cop killer. And for those that want to attack me..I was marching and fighting for truth and justice in this country when most of you were doing it in your diapers. I was a liberal back when it was not the thing to be. And I'm not going to defend myself for telling some yap, looking to advertise her opinion down my throat, to please not do so here. OK, I did'nt say please. How's that for an apology? How's that for an apology? >Evil Gary A couple things. First: I really wasn't pissed off and really wasn't attacking you. Just responding in kind. I normally wouldn't have posted, but here's a new person talking about a concert in Philly and happens to mention 3 letters and it just set you off. I also find it interesting that a musician could actually try to "force feed" you something. You are not in control of your thoughts? All music has a point of view which you can agree or disagree with. I don't agree with every point of view of musicians I like. But, I'm more of a music rather than lyrics sort of guy. I guess I just don't understand why you have to tell us you left a concert. Also, age != wisdom. I'm probably close to you in age (were you alive when Sputnik was launched?). Here's some wisdom for you: next time someone posts something on this list you don't agree with, use the DEL key. I do it all the time don (my first posts since April 1999; see ya next year) :-) "Never apply a Star Trek solution to a Babylon 5 problem." -- seen on a bulletin board at Fermi Lab Don Semmens; Richmond VA; donsem@concentric.net ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Jun 2000 20:02:38 -0400 From: "Gary Jacques" Subject: MM: Re: Re: (NPC) Don, It was not music but a speach between music! Yes I remember Sputnik. Age does not equal wisdom. Life experience = wisdom. I don't delete things I don't agree with! That's a y2k solution. I will continue to voice my opinion anywhere I like. Look forward to seeing you in a year. You can hear her on the Verizon commercials ;) Their album "One" is one of the best albums I bought last year... Definitely check them out: www.fishertheband.com They are super nice too!!! :) Jessica www.jessicaweiser.com | mp3.com/jessweiser ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V4 #176 *********************************
