I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd say hello since it's been quiet, and especially to thank Jennifer for uploading that mp3! Wow, that's cool! The strange thing is, the instant the song ended with The Yell, my computer crashed and restarted itself. No Lie! So I guess even inanimate objects aren't immune to Patty's effects. Anyway, I first heard Patty when I heard "Every Little Bit" on the radio AGES ago, and I love both albums. I hadn't heard anything from FR solo acoustic until I caught the show at the Ark a few weeks ago. Actually, that's where I heard about the list - I met two very enthusiatic people in line for the 9:30 show - if you remember me, HI! (I'm not so good with names). I was with a tall guy and another girl, and we talked about taping. So I just thought I'd say Hello! and thanks for BOTH uploading that song and letting me know about the list....it seems like a great balance of good information and friendly conversation. Lisa#9 PS-I'll try to chime in with something a little more useful next time ;) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send instant messages & get email alerts with Yahoo! Lisa - kinda ironic but I am the person you met in line! me and a guy named Dave - glad to see you have joined the list :-) Hope everyone is enjoying the Wiggley Fingers mp3 - maybe if you guys wanna vote you can check out my Patty boots and choose an "mp3 of the week" type thing..... anyone interested? I might need to get on a different server though as I'm not sure my umich account smiles on keeping mp3s on my webspace... hmm... i guess i could keep 'em up till they yell at me??? I'd like to thank everyone for offering the kind words about Laura and wishing for her safe return home. I'm sure that if we all keep praying we can bring her back. For now, Jen http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/~jcaputo http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/~jcaputo ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 May 2000 23:17:51 EDT From: Everyman7@aol.com Subject: MM: Grand Rapids, Michigan concert- mid April I have a double Cd of this concert and it is such a wonderful concert!- I imagine it is one of the ones that I read reviews about from you guys. There are new and old songs on it and Patty seemed to be in great form. Is there any interest in treeing this concert? We have been waiting forever for the new CD to come out- almost 2 years since Flaming Red!- and it would keep us happy for a while. Rarities 2 is in process, but I guess Jen is not ready to let it go yet. So, if someone wants to organize it, I would let you borrow my copy for a seed. I am lending it out right now, but maybe could get it to you in a couple of weeks. We have a lot going on right now- moving my 23 yr old from CT to and I can't ask Masaki to make CD's again like for Rarities 1. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 May 2000 23:21:28 EDT From: Everyman7@aol.com Subject: MM: Grand Rapids, cont Sorry, I hit some button and my mail went without proofreading or finishing it. Anyway- I am off to CT on Sat to help pack up my daughter to move out here and Masaki is driving her stuff across the country, etc- so now we can't do it. It took quite a bit of time for him to make the branch CD's last time. But I would be happy to have you all enjoy this wonderful concert if there is enough interest for a tree, and volunteers to do it. Did you record it yourself, then burn it onto CD? Did you buy it in a rare CD/bootlegs store? My experience with the Jewel list has made me reeeeally wary of boots on CD... or was it something already treed on the list? Just wondering :) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 May 2000 23:41:38 -0400 From: "Jennifer Lynn Caputo" Subject: Re: MM: Grand Rapids, Michigan concert- mid April I don't know where Dana got her copy of the CD but Dave recorded all of the MI shows on mini-disc and Don made direct digital copies onto cd. I was thinking it would be a great idea to tree these shows -I have all 3 MI shows on CD (my copy of the Calvin College cd is on an 80 minute disc). I know that Dave wanted to send Dana copies of those shows - it sounds like someone may have beat him to it though. on another note - I have received an offer for webspace to make a patty "mp3 of the week" site - all rare non-album tracks of course. Could I get some feedback on this idea? Also - what are some songs you guys are dying to hear? On yet another note - I thought I would post the latest news I have heard about my friend Laura. The woman who took her is a 30 year old lesbian. She has kidnapped before - a 16 year old girl who escaped. Laura was taken on friday morning and on friday night she managed a 3 second call home before getting disconnected - the call came from iowa (we live in Michigan). Nothing has been heard from her since. The FBI is creating a webpage with Laura's picture and the kidnappers picture - I will forward the URL and beg you all to pass it on to ANYONE you know ANYWHERE - we have no clue where she is....
