Ah yes, I'm once again taking a break here and thinking about drinking. Too much weekend phun I tell ya. But why I'm writing... Well, some day this weekend when I was sober I had an idea. It happened after my brilliant plan of putting my house on a second mortgage to finance my gas bill last week. It just came to me, like a flash, like a vision burnt across the clouds. I just wrote it down with nail polish onto my skin (I'm not sure why that was the only medium available to me, come to think of it). It said, "hey, why doesn't Patty Griffin take some time to answer Mad-Mission letters every once in a while?" Well, the nail polish said "Griffin respond letters" but I digress. Here's my plan, stan. I was on the Laetitia Casta fan club web site a while back...well, uh, no. I mean my FRIEND was on the Laetitia Casta fan club web site (yeah, that's the ticket). And I...er, my friend noticed that Laetitia answers one fan letter a month personally. You know, to keep the crowd happy. Well, that and I get a little jealous if she starts answering more than one. I told her, "dahling, please only answer one a month...and get me a beer while yer up too hon." But rally, listees. Doesn't someone else besides me think it's about time Patty Griffin starts learning this new fangled "email" thing and set something up with her bandmates since they seem to be members of this list thing as well. She could personally respond to like one of our emails a month or something. Take the two seconds (or five minutes depending on whether you use a cable modem or slow phone). Besides, it's a max good PR move as well. Especially now that Mardi Gras is over and she can get back to work. NO at night, ain't that just a whole nuther ball of beans? But I thank Ms. Griffin would enhance her PR by responding to emails. The chat-room thing doesn't seem to be working, because someone else is working the magic for her while she tries to respond to questions. Some people are getting ignored or the computer freezes or something. This way she can respond to our emails (whichever she chooses) on her own time. ya dig? Or am I just farmer-blowing in the wind here? By the way, I had a Green Machine. they f-in rocked. No big wheels here.
