Not sure what I have to offer in return, though. I live in NYC...a night on the town, perhaps? As far as "Mary" commentary, I too cannot get enough of this song. I sat first row at Sessions, but directly BEHIND the band so I couldn't watch Patty up close. I was probably misty-eyed enough for the both of us. By the way, if my new friend who I met in line at Sessions - and who sat next to me for the show until I was moved for "Peter Pan" - is in this newsgroup (or her boyfriend living in Italy) it was "Blue Sky" that Patty performed on Conan O'Brien and not "Carry Me" as I erroneously told you at the show. Sorry!! ;-) Greg - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Friday, October 15, 1999 11:28 AM Subject: MM: Re: mary, rarities, etc. > i just wanted to add to the whole "mary" commentary. i was fortunate enough > to be in the front row at the sessions taping, about five whole feet away > from patty, so when she played "mary," it was absolutely amazing. i got > teary--it was so powerful and beautiful. i've always liked flaming red, but > seeing those songs performed live with the band gave me a whole new > appreciation of that album. one more thing; steve requested info about > getting a copy of rarities 1--can i second that motion? i'm new here, too, > and would love to hear it. i don't have much to trade, but would be more > than willing to send blank tapes or cd-rs and money for postage, of course. > thank you! > > anne > > p.s. and a belated thanks to ron for the post-sessions dinner; make any lox > lately? =^) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Oct 1999 17:36:26 EDT From: Mauseee@aol.com Subject: MM: Re: mad-mission-digest V3 #295 How far is Keswick from New York City and how would I get there?
