I have been faithfully following all the messages and info but have yet to say hi, so HI. I got tickets to sessions too, and am very excited. I have never had a chance to see Patty perform and can't wait! So I hope everyone has a great time and a safe weekend! Patty's da'bomb! My boyfriend and I are looking forward to coming to NY to see Patty at the Sessions thing, but neither of us has ever been there. Do any of you know of relatively inexpensive hotels that you can recommend? Perhaps in the Village or another cool area? One of the RAs opened her kind little heart and took my saturday night shift. So what if I have to work thursday night now, the infamous party night? Who cares? I GET TO GO! Well, I feel as though I'm at a friend's house while they have their family over celebrating christmas. I'm just kinda twiddling my thumbs going, "wow, that's great!" as they open presents. so I'm happy for everyone who got those tickets!!! But here's the real reason why I'm writing..... dave wanted to know where to meet? Well, I know I'm not going to be there, but I'm fairly good at bars since I'm into that beer thing. Why don't ya'll meet at McSorely's Bar. Great fantastic beautiful beer....plus its right near NYU. Since Michelle's from NYU, just meet her THERE!! Oh, and order the dark beer (your only choices are light and dark). And the food's good too! I can't say enough about McSorely's. It's worth finding, and then remembering. By the way, you get two mugs whenever you order. How cool is that? I'm not sure if I'm even spelling the name right, but it's such the awesome bar. I think it's the oldest in NY. I'm drooling right now thinking about it. beer. mmmmmmmmm. oh, and I almost lost it when I read.....relatively inexpensive hotels???? ah ha ha ha h ah hah ah aha ha ha ha ha! whew.... oh. That was good. Seriously, good luck. You're talking Mid-town Manhattan. They don't drive around in Limos for nothing. I've seen hotels in that area that would turn you white. I'm outta here. Just thought I'd add a couple of cents to the pot. *clink clink* peace love and vegetable rights, paul **************************************** * Alright, Harold. I am in such a good mood because I have tickets to the show too of course. I will be excited to meet all of you at the concert. DAVE--thanks for puting me on the spot here. I have only lived in NYC for 4 weeks now and I have been spending most of my time in the village so I don't know the area around W54th very well. However, I have been to many places and have not yet had a bad meal. I am sure we will find some place good. I would like to suggest dinner AFTER the show because it would be really hard for all of us to meet at a selected time before the show because we all are coming from so many places. Afterwards we will all be in the same general area and we can get a group together quickly and easily. I think that would be so fun so count me in!!! Let me know who all wants to get together so we can shout out names and meet up at the concert somewhere. I am so excited! Can't WAIT!!! They won't last another 2 episodes. Anyway, I was wondering... since we know the taping is on the 2nd, do we still not know when the AIRING is? Anyone with the info do let me know. Ooh and the best of Sessions part 2 (with Natalie and Tori) is this week! Anxiously awaiting. Later all ===== :-) John __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Who knows, maybe it could turn into one big Patty Party!!! I'm doing an in & out thing, flying in Saturday at noon and leaving Sunday at 6am, so I'm not planning on sleeping - the hotels in NY are way to expensive to pay for only a few short hours of sleep anyway. So let's do it!
