They did a great job on it and I think it is by far the best song on their cd. I keep wanting to hear Patty's voice singing to the track though. Linda has an amazing voice but lacks that Patty emotional thing. I hope Patty records a version herself. I think this is one of her acoustic tunes that could really benefit from a nice full band arrangement. I never realized how beautifull the song was. She is an amazing songwriter. I love the lyrics "Do your dance on my head, heavy steps of the dead, everthing the snow surrounds, falling, falling," ect. I also listened to the Dixie Chicks version of "Fly" and was pleasantly surprised. I thought they were going to cheese it out but it sounded great with a nice country flavor to it. I didn't realize she could sing that well until I heard her sing a Patty tune. Anyway, those are just some thoughts.... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Sep 1999 12:33:49 -0500 From: "C. If so, what all was involved, how long did it take, etc...? -Cristina *************************************************** "Heart falling fast when she left; even the Milky Way was dressed in black" -Tori Amos, "Flying Dutchman" *************************************************** ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V3 #259 *********************************
