If we did try to do a Mad Mission Pilgrimage, I would think a Saturday show with Patty headlining would be optimal. Anyone know if such a show is already scheduled? >> No, but speaking of Nashville, I just checked www.328performancehall.com and tickets for the 5/18 and 5/19 show are on sale now. I'll be there! I think gathering in Nashville would probably be a keen idea. I'd say since Nashville is Patty's home that quite a few of us would be close to there anyway. There is a Sunday show at the Nashville Riverstages 5/2. I understand some list members are already going. This has the possibility of a good gathering site. ~mike also wrote: Does Patty know about the list? Assuming she doesn't dart into the bus right after the show, your chances of meeting Patty are very good. The green room is down in the basement right at the bottom of the stairs. Wait awhile after the show and then go hang out there. Chances are she'll be about. Also, the guys in the band are pretty cool too. If you tell them you'd like to meet her, they will most likely pass that along and you'll get to chat with her for a bit :) You just have to be cool (i.e. patient), hang out for a while and sort of play it by air. >>> My cousin and I will be at the Northhampton show and >>> frankly......if there is >>> a group of us there how could Patty possibly say no >>> to meeting us?? - ---------------------------- David Lewis Digital & Print Media Design dlewis@hfx.andara.com - ---------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Apr 1999 16:11:33 EDT From: UMCaner74@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: Re: Hey!!! WELL she said "Just take your agressions out"--pretty cool, I think she has alot of agression!!!!! And its a beautiful agression at that!! But I really told her also that I wanted to run her fan club and she said she thought there already was one, on the Internet, so she has looked at us I know it!! I'd say since Nashville is Patty's home that quite a few of us would be close to there anyway." Actually, Patty lives in Austin now. I think I heard in an interview that she moved partially to be closer to Troy Campbell, her beau. Anyway, I gave her a copy of the rarities tape and she was thankful and said that she didn't have a copy of those songs, and that the tape would have helped. It was a "Ruby Maroon" show where she was just doing covers and her unreleased stuff. Anyway, she does know about the list but said she wasn't very computer oriented. Maybe she would be willing to do something like this Jewel-stock thing in her own backyard (not literally). Another band I like, Caedmon's Call, did a big campout-music fest thing one weekend on some land in the country where they played all weekend and had a contest for people covering their songs. So, for all of you ASPIRING musicians... Sorry so long, Heather _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I'm very new to this list. Reading all of your emails, I thought I would ask anyone if they would be interested in coming to my house and having Patty play? I have been talking to her manager and asked him if she'd have a house concert since I had read that she was interested in doing those in the future. He told me the price was $3000 and that's a little out of my league. But if I could get a bunch of people together (not too many, my house isn't that big, lol) and chip in it could actually happen. Her manager wanted to do the concert at the end of April, but that's obviously already taken. I talked to him about this a couple times last month and am not positive he still wants to do it since her tour schedule is kinda booked. I live in Illinois about 30-45 min. from Chicago. I really want to do this if anyone else is interested. I could call her manager again if anyone else is serious about it and see if he'd do it. I read someone said they saw Patty at Schuba's. I got to meet her one of her shows there. She signed my CD but of course I didn't bring a camera. I also got a letter from her once a couple years ago after I wrote to her, so I know she is very personable and would do a great living room concert. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Apr 1999 20:07:07 -0400 From: "Darren" Subject: MM: Re: Patty concert That sounds like alot of fun.
