I think they've played about 6 different songs from "Flaming Red" (so far, I've heard "One Big Love", "Tony", "Change", "Blue Sky", "Goodbye", "Wiggley Fingers", and maybe "Mary")... I *know* there haven't been that many singles, so I guess they are just picking the ones they like. :) The Phoenix (WYYB.com) plays "Goodbye" a lot these days, too. I love hearing Patty songs on the radio... Doesn't that make them sound just so much better? :) Smiles, Misty >From: Eric >Subject: MM: Christina & A&M > >Hi, > Just a quick note to say that IMO A&M absolutely should have released >Christina as the second single. >What is happening radio wise w/ patty? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Feb 1999 17:43:09 EST From: Rudgetty@aol.com Subject: MM: Hearing her on the radio...Yee! I love hearing Patty on the radio. It has only happened here once. It was a perfect day for it though. I had my sunroof open, the sky had that whole mid- way between day and night eeriness going on, with streaks of all these great colors across the sky and whatnot. I had the windows open, and "Tony" comes blaring through my speakers, to which point I reached down, turned the knob louder, and sang along until I was hoarse. With my hands flailing out the windows and sunroof, playing in the wind, and my body jumping and jiving, I must have looked absolutely nuts to anyone passing by. You know what, though. I just don't care ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Feb 1999 19:25:33 EST From: JAMac99@aol.com Subject: MM: Lucky in Philly I guess those of us in the Philadelphia area are lucky. WXPN (88.5) plays Patty all the time. Flaming Red was #3 in their 1998 album countdown. If you have a radio station in your area that broadcasts "World Cafe" you'll be likely to catch a Patty tune. Check out this web site to see if the "World Cafe" is broadcast in your area: http://www.pri.org/locator.html Jane ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Feb 1999 17:47:56 PST From: "Paul Russell" Subject: MM: Janet Reno smelled my armpits That is sooo great that Patty Griffin is jamin up the airwaves! I think the radio stations around HERE should get some taste and play her as well. Thanks for all the suggestions on "Go Now." I guess I just wasn't seeing that. And anyway, thank you thank you (that was double on purpose) for ... " mike said: Patty says, "that ORGAN kills me". She is refering to the Hammond B3 organ that plays throughout the song. who knew? not me. thanks for the info. :)" That makes a hell of a lot more cents than I was making of it. Even had she said the other, I would totally think differently now. ;) And duh, like Ms. Griffin would hate her own song. What was I thinking? Anyway, gotta run. Ain't sposed to be ahn this here computer. Just thanks. :) peace, love, and vegetable rights. paul. *************************************************** * Here's a little tip for ya.
