I don't know, for some reason I can relate to it. It would be a total ab fab song to sing at the bar while drunk, or even with a group of drunk friends walking to the next place of destination." I really like Go Now too. It has a wonderful chantuese (sp?) quality to it. I always think of Marlene Dietrich or perhap Peggy Lee singing it in a smoky bar under a single spot. It always evoked some singer that I couldn't put my finger on but recently decided it would be Phoebe Snow from her 1st album with a little Rickie Lee Jones blended in. I don't mean to say that I think PG intentionally copied these singers. It merely has a quality of that evokes these people for me. Loved your whole post Paul. - Jeff ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Feb 1999 11:00:04 -0800 From: "Vanessa Wheeler" Subject: MM: no tickets yet hey all, hope you're all having a fabulous V-day weekend. i still haven't heared anything about tickets yet for any of the SoCal shows. pleaheaheas contact me at gitsloth@gte.net if any of you have anything. and yes i'll pay for them. thanks and take care, v ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Feb 1999 18:56:13 -0500 From: "Steve Garrison" Subject: Re: MM: Re: Go Now Ute Lemper, I think. - ---------- > I really like Go Now too.
