My name's Todd, and I have written only ONE fan letter in my life. It was to Patty, of course... The first and only time I saw her was when she opened for Jann Arden in Dallas at a club called "Trees". She took my breath away. I wish I would have said something to her that night, but I didn't realize how much I would fall in love with her music. Once I bought Living With Ghosts, I was completely hooked. I will never get tired of that album, and now I am loving Flamin' Red. I have a question that only true Patty fans will be able to answer. Does anyone know the meaning of her song on Flamin' Red that says, "Rock on Big Daddy"... sorry, I forgot the name of it. "Throw the little fish back" etc., etc. I'm not crazy about that one, but I am intrigued by it. What is she referring to? Anybody know???? Glad to be a part of this list, Todd ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Nov 1998 17:21:07 -0500 From: fu84@juno.com (Beth A Ashley) Subject: MM: angelfood I'm new to the list and would appreciate a copy of any angelfood tapes. It might as well be recognized as her hometown because they are still not promoting her here in Old Town. I'll stop whinning about that now since I've already done that enough. I am real excited to see her at the Paradise again on the 12th and hope she starts getting alot of air play. I am having serious doubts about her management or whoever is responsible for promoting this cd.(perhaps the record co.) We should be sick of hearing this cd on all radio stations by now. The cd is much stronger than much of her fellow female artist...honestly. Anyways....see you all at the Paradise P.S...Jessica, sorry I haven't responded recently. I had 469 messages since the last time I was in O.T. I wasn't a personal friend of Patty's in High School, but she was very active in plays, bands and kind of quiet and shy at the same time. You have to understand that this is a girl who came from a very small town who has no shot at making a name for herself, but is standing on the cliff of major stardom looking straight down. I became friendly with her in the 80's and have been out of touch with her since her cd's came out. I got to talk with her last summer at the city hall show and had alot of fun. She is just the sweetest young lady you will ever meet and deserves the world. DJ i .... ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V2 #361 *********************************
