So let me just say this: (and by the way I'm not being personal or anything so...) Michael Jackson is a man, and he's not white. It just really rocks my boat for someone to post that he's a white girl. He is one of the most talented musicians of our time, and deservedly the King of Pop. He's not only helped the black community in tremendous strides (before Jackson's fame ALL black people were signed to Motown Records) but he cares deeply for the children of the world. I could go on, but this is way out of the Patty Griffin topic. And I don't want to hear "well that's just his opinion..." because calling someone something he's not is not an opinion, it's a lie. I also have a news only version of this list. How it works is that I take posts that appear on this loose mail version that are of a news nature in regards to Patty (concert dates, web casts, articles etc) and send them on to the news subscribers. My problem lately is time. I also run the Jewel list, and her new CD came out yesterday, and she's in a ton of magazines and all over TV, so that list has gone absolutely bonkers and has been getting 300 posts a day sent in, of which maybe 200 make it thru (the list is moderated...all posts screened) That lists' volume, along with other behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on with list ownership has been totally dominating my time each night (7 hours tonight) since Sunday, and I just don't have the time to read the posts on THIS list to see what should go to the news subscribers. So, I would like a temporary helper :-) It has to be someone who is on the loose mail version and reads *EVERY* post. What I would want this person to do is to take any post that seems of a news nature (about Patty) that the news subscibers might be interested in (even if partially), and forward it to me. ("forward", not "redirect"). Even if you aren't sure, you would forward it to me and I could decide. That way, any posts I get from this volunteer would key me into a possible news post, and I could then check it out and send it on. So, if you are willing to volunteer for this temporary position, please reply to me ASAP. I expect this to last a week or two, maybe three, maybe less. I'll get back to all applicants Thursday night.
