Somedays there are 2 postings. I delete alot when there are 94 postings, but read the first line of each to make sure it's nothing I care to read first. I like Rachael's idea, just make sure that I get 3+ letters a day. Not only will It appears that certain members of this list are not bright enough to do this, either that or they enjoy reading mindless drivel. As one poster seemed to express - the more mail the better. By the time this arrives I'll already have gone to the news only list - I hope the friends that I've made here will keep in touch. I was wide awake and crazy by the time I got here only 2 people can do this for me. Patty Griffin of course and Stevie Nicks. The difference between the two is Patty unleashes some RAW unruly power that no one else can, it's very cool, perhaps it's the passion she has when she plays her guitar, I dont know dont want to analyze it to much. But it works. Love you all, Jessica Is this post out of line???? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Nov 1998 15:13:27 EST From: Rudgetty@aol.com Subject: MM: Multiple posts To all~ Well, since many have expressed opinions that I am blaring out too much drivel, I have decided that I am smart enough to cut, paste, and I can even type on my own, too! Wow, mommy, aren't you proud of me? I want to apologize to the entire list about an earlier reference to Michael Jackson. It was not mentioned due to lack of respect for Patty, but on the other hand, as a comparison to the "White Boy Jackson Fives" that have taken over the music world, and the great essence that makes Patty...well, Patty. She has risen above all of these jokes to show her rawness, her realness, her self. I apologize again for such a curse amongst the letters...please forgive me. Patty's name should never again be put in the same sentence as Michael Jackson. Moving right along..... I enjoyed Jess Sampson's "driving to work" because I feel the same way..EXACTLY. Patty has this raw passion that shows through every note, every word, every breath. I was reall drawn to Patty for this exact reason, I saw her in concert knowing little of her material, and immediately fell in love with the music. It was something she had....a spark, an enigma, something in the water...something. she had captivated me, and had me hypnotized. It was weird, and I usually have to be eased into new music, but Patty grabbed me by the belt loop and threw me in, face first. And I have been loving it ever since. I feel that if you have something to say, it is never out of line..so type on, girl. Finding that rather odd, I thought I would say that it was too cold when I got out of work!!! If somebody disagrees with my assessment on the temperature please post and I will apologize. (this is all cynical humor, so please don't ACTUALLY post that you disagree with my take on the temp) That is all :-) John ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V2 #353 *********************************
