My only regret: my friends and i didn't buy more earplugs and make a little $! Only kidding, but Iodine, my gosh, what were they thinking? Granted, we had some pretty bad seats directly behind the speakers. Anyway, if I am not mistaken , I do believe our beloved Patty was even covering her ears ups when she joined them. Anyway, despite that, and the sad fact we missed the in-store (Hi Josh, we stopped you in the Tower parking lot with your guitar), it was amazing to hear Patty once again. I have to agree with those who say that this "rockin" Patty is truely what she is about. I love both cds equaly, they are just so very different, but still beautiful, because behind all the instruments is still her amazing voice. She was just so cute with her neutral flare-out at the bottom pants it. She was just so cute with some funky neutral flare-out at the bottom pants with writing on the shins, and a brown suede jacket early in the night, and then a black skirt/shirt/tights with some funky platf :) Heather ~~ I guess that's all. Any word on the t-shirt thing?? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Nov 1998 2:25:25 -0600 From: HAW3065@ACS.TAMU.EDU Subject: MM: whoops Um, sorry about that sketchy last posting of mine. Something strange is going on with my email. That last line was supposed to read, platform tuxedo-type shoes. Bare with me. Hi Mishers :-) Just found the following on AOL: >for those interested...patty will be doing a cybercast > from nashville on sunday, december 6 from 3rd and lindsley > on wrlt.com i think around 9 pm cst I've/we've known about the live radio broadcast for quite some time now, but I wasn't certain it would be cybercast and I even forgot all about it. I had been to the WRLT website a few times in the past and never found anything on it so I figured they didn't have a live webcast setup. Just went there now and found it in like 3 seconds...go figure. Here's the link to their webcast page http://www.wrlt.com/livelightning.htm Looks like we'll all get a cyber show from Patty soon :-) Mike :-) - - * The Patty Griffin/Mad-Mission@smoe List Homepage is at: * http://www.spectra.net/~ducksoup/pattyg/pattyg.htm * * Rachel Martin's Patty Griffin Lyrics Archive is at * http://www.geocities.com/Wellesley/3079/patty.html * * Jerry Zigmont's Flaming Red - A Patty Griffin Website is at * http://w3.nai.net/~zigmont * * Katie Peterson's Patty Griffin Guitar Tabs Archive is at * http://members.tripod.com/~Lifey/patty.html * * DuckOfPrey or WhyADuck55 on AOL or AOL Instant Messenger ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Nov 1998 05:40:24 PST From: "Sean Palen" Subject: MM: live concert on web I believe the site is www.liveconcerts.com, click on KCRW, and there is a nice PW concert for anybody to hear, plus lots of other great artists. I wanted to pass along Joy Askews website address for those that are interested. It is in the process of being re-vamped and re-designed (right Charl?). You can obtain more information about her there. http://www.eclipse.net/~synergy/joyaskew.html Mark Cicero Wrote: >PS: Mary Arden Collins is definitely a talent to reckon with. I highly >recommmend her to anyone on this list. Another artist to check out is >Joy Askew. Joy's music is a bit more complex than Mary's (which means >that they are stylisticly very differt)and boy can she sing (she has the >voice of an angel with the power of Gabrials trumpet). Check them out. I listened for about 1/2 hour this evening, and it sounded like there may be hope for us here. I'm especially hoping that they will play Patty, since no other radio station, that I'm aware of, is playing her music. The mix faintly reminded of ole KSCA, and bears further listening. Nicole is on 2p-6p; I haven't listened in any other time slot yet to find out what other dj's are on. My *wiggly* fingers are crossed!
