Thats a lot of bar bands to suffer through. Maybe if I left my house around 10 pm I could catch Patty. Have you heard any of these other folks? I've heard NWS and thats it. Sounds like short sets and lots of equipment changes to me. Oh well, maybe I'll come down and see if we can get a chance to talk to Patty. I'd like to find out if there is a video coming and what the next single might be. The more I listen to the CD, the more I think Christina would do well on the radio. Maybe one of those bland middle of the road songs first though. OBL is WORN OUT on the radio here. I'm already changin the station when it comes on. That's my opinion, btw. bye Bill ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Jul 1998 09:27:14 -0700 From: Elaine Bean Subject: Re: MM: my two cents jarstar@iconn.net wrote: > > Hello everyone. Great news for Boston-area Mad-Mishers: Patty is scheduled to play at the Mama Kin Playhouse on Landsdowne Street on Wednesday, August 19th. She is headlining; doors open at 9:00. I have no info on an opening act. Tickets, at $10, are on sale now. I have not yet gotten mine, but I will soon. I have not seen this info (as of yesterday) on either Musi-Cal or Patty's web page. My brother assures me that it is a great venue (it's the club co-owned by Aersomith); my guess is that it will be, however, indescribably carcinogenic, based on reports from him of other shows there and my memory of Patty's smoke-filled Providence show. She is one of the very few reasons in the world that I would ever choose to spend five minutes, let alone a couple of hours, in such a place. Not that you asked. Anyway, you can call Mama Kin at (617) 536-2100. See you there! I'm so excited to hear that Patty will be in town! If the concert is on the Playhouse side of MamaKin - it's not too smoky! I saw Martin Sexton there a little while back - it's a neat space - with lots of sofas and little tables around, but with lots of obstructed viewing, and we got there about 45 minutes before the show, and there were no seats left - - many in the audience stood all night. There is a bar in there - so it's a bit louder and smokier than say, a Passim's show, but is still a cool venue! Hope to see many of you there! - - Laurel :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Jul 1998 18:28:46 EDT From: Mystchif1@aol.com Subject: MM: Patty in Phoenix Hey all!
