I also missed Patty at the Riverfest and by all accounts she's fine. I understand her tourbus had trouble in Nashville. As far as Planetfest is concerned, it's a go. The show will be at Pine Knob on August 30. The show will feature Patty (of coarse), The Wallflowers, Duncan Sheik, Grant Lee Buffalo , The Why Store and Agents of Good Roots. The local rag shows that tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. on Aug. 18, but I suspect this is a misprint and it should read July 18. As far as Riverfest Jess - I'm sorry you didn't decide to stay because you missed a great day in the sun. Steve Poltz and Billy Mann were awesome and I really enjoyed watching all of the groupies that dressed up to see the headliner; The Brian Setzer Orchestra. I'd like to take this opportunity to say thanks to Katie P. and Katie B. who are two fellow Mad-Missioners that I spent time with at the Riverfest. Thanks to Katie P. for coaxing me to go to Riverfest and Katie B. for providing the great backup vocals for Steve Poltz. Thanks girls, I really enjoyed myself. It was GREAT! Only played one song from LWG though...I thought the opening acts shouldn't have played so long so Patty could have played some older stuff. But it was still awesome....
