Sorry if the news has already been posted, but I couldn't recall having seen it. I just got back from Starbucks, where they are featuring a new "Lilith '98" disc. There were 15 or 20 cuts for $11.95. There was no Sarah or Dar, but it did feature Jonatha Brooke, Tara MacLean, Catie Curtis, and a raft of others. Oh, yeah-some chanteuse was represented on there by a song called "One Big Love." I'l be eagerly awaiting a review from someone who hasn't been on an obscene CD binge the last few months and who could thus purchase and review it. So are these just album tracks from the various artists? And since when has Jonatha Brooke been associated with Lilith? I don't think she's scheduled for this year's fair (a damn shame! :(), and I didn't realize she played last year either. I'd love to find out I'm wrong... Maybe I'll just have to go downstairs to Starbucks and check it out. :) Dave ObPatty: "One Big Love" is now listed on KMTT's (103.7 FM in Seattle) web page as "Mountain Fresh", and it's getting fairly frequent air play. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Jun 1998 16:43:14 -0400 From: lgrady@lnmta.bentley.edu Subject: MM: Not really patty related Hi! Just wanted to make a suggestion for those who are looking for new music ideas - went to see Karen Savoca this weekend - she's AMAZING - a HUGE voice, and an amazing lyricist! ("rolling her life like a pair of dice, like a paradise...") Also - someone mentioned Trina Hamlin - she's great - I saw her a week or so ago at club Passim opening for Barbara Kessler and she was great - definately try and catch her if you can.... For you Jewel fans - Yahoo is advertizing an online chat with Jewel tonight at 8pm..... I just called WBOS and requested One Big Love - I hope i hope i hope that they play it..... I haven't had a chance to hear any of the new album yet - I wish that I had a soundcard in my computer - the A&M site has realaudio of the new album..... Laurel :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 08 Jun 1998 16:33:01 -0500 From: matt vogensen Subject: MM: airplay Howdy, I just got on this mailing list and I noticed some people saying tey hadn't heard anything from Flaming Red yet. One of the best local stations here (KGSR) has been playing the new song about once every two hours, that's a lot of airplay for that station. If you have the capeability I believe they broadcast live over the web (I know they used to), if you are in a city that doesn't have the right musical taste for Patty then you might want to check KGSR's web site out. I don't have an adress right now, but I will soon hopefully. Grey ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V2 #157 *********************************
