Hey Mimi... a few thoughts... first one is... huh? "Turning to country"? What? Umm... you make it sound like some kind of horrendous sin, like country is somehow akin to prostituting oneself. I'm no Garth Brooks fan (yuck!) but I love lots of music which could be considered "country".... Nanci Griffith, Lyle Lovette, Gillian Welch... etc. Second, Patty is not "turning to country"... she's just doing her thing!!! I'm sure she sat down and said... "hey, I should get on this country bandwagon so I can sell lots of CDs". I don't think so.
