Questions: 1--What is the title of the last song (#17) on the first disk? The song before it is Sweet Lorraine if that helps. 2--What's the title of the Bruce song (#4) on the 2nd disk? (I'm ashamed to admit I know the song but not the title!) if it helps, a baritone's "BRUCE" comes over the disk after a line or two! 3--Don't know the titles for #8 and #12 either on disk #2. 4--Who the hell is singing with Patty on track #15 (Dirty ol' Town?) and #16 and why wasn't he travelling with her all those times I saw her? God, his voice is gorgeous and the harmonies are lovely. Titles anyone? 5--Who is singing the last song on disk #2? I was a little surprised to hear someone other than patty but i like it. thanks in advance Lorri ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Aug 2002 19:48:04 EDT From: FlamingRed74@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: whitaker CD question To answer Lorri's questions 1 by 1, and for others who are wondering..You can print out the artwork for the Cd's here: http://www.fotter.com/pg_6-24_labels/ Thanks to John Benson, the incredible designer, and thanks to Matt Fotter for supplying the web space! :-) Now, on to the questions.. Q. 1--What is the title of the last song (#17) on the first disk? A- The last song is entitled "10 Million Miles" Q. 2--What's the title of the Bruce song (#4) on the 2nd disk? (I'm ashamed to admit I know the song but not the title!) if it helps, a baritone's "BRUCE" comes over the disk after a line or two! A- The song is called "Racing In The Streets". If you ask me, Patty's covers of this song, and Bruce's "Nebraska" are both superior to her cover of the version of "Stolen Car" that's on 1,000 Kisses. Then again, I'd say that her live versions of "Stolen Car" are superior to the one that's on the album as well... The baritone voice shouting "Bruce" is that of yours truly.. sorry.. :-( Q. 3--Don't know the titles for #8 and #12 either on disk #2. A- See- Artwork. Q. 4--Who the hell is singing with Patty on track #15 (Dirty ol' Town?) and #16 and why wasn't he travelling with her all those times I saw her? God, his voice is gorgeous and the harmonies are lovely. Titles anyone? A. That guy is Michael Fracasso. Amazing singer/songwriter! He was on tour with her for the 1st leg of the 1,000 Kisses Tour. See artwork for track titles. :-) Q. 5--Who is singing the last song on disk #2? I was a little surprised to hear someone other than patty but i like it. A. That is the voice of the one and only, amazing, stunning, beautiful (and often recommended) fellow MM'er Darcie Miner. She opened the Whitaker Center show.. and afterwards lots of people were buzzing about how she was. A pretty nice compliment considering that she always plays with a band, and this was her first solo performance in a long, long time. I figured that since I had the space for one more (short) song, & I had no more Patty material from this tour .. I would try to let other people hear how amazing Darcie was that night (even if it's only for one song). Hope this helps. :-) Dave -- the original guy who supplied this recording. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Aug 2002 21:05:09 EDT From: Violetbuca@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: Dar Williams trade I support anyone's right to dislike or like any kind of music, I just wanted to chime in and say I saw Dar a couple nights ago when she was opening for Keb Mo and I talked to her after the show, she is delighful and kind, very honest, grassrootsy still and she has a great sense of humor, she looked hot too! so thats my vote for Dar as a kind person.
