It was excellent. I can't always get to the URL at work so it's nice to be able to read it right on an email. My only question is what songs on FR was he referring to when he mentioned pedophile preists? Anyone know? See below for what he wrote. Steve "Don't just exist. Live." <"....... I figured he was referring to Wiggly Fingers: Old John Paul is keepin' a tab in his big red folder At night he is dreaming of hollow candle holders Big is the weight of the world on his shoulders Amen amen He's keeping those dirty little wiggly fingers to himself Pam ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 07 Aug 2002 15:27:46 -0400 From: "Sarah Stanley" Subject: MM: Detroit's Gem Theater show Not sure if this came thru earlier -- had some trouble with my subscription... ?? Sorry it you get it twice ****************** wow. that's really all i can say (plus I'd rather just leave the reviews to the experts). I just really really really had a wonderful time at this show. maybe it was being at the gorgeous Gem Theater, maybe it was how wonderful Patty looked and the aura she gave off, maybe it was the bourbon i was sipping.....but it was definately that lovely voice and that soul just dripping with emotion and passion. I found myself holding my breath most of the show? Do you guys ever get like that at her shows? I realize that I'm all out of breath and that I've been not breathing during a lot of her songs! :) Two BIG questions: first, does anyone know what song it was that she sang about "drank all i could swallow, now the moon's gonna follow me home" ??? sorry if this was already discussed here, i've been lax on my emails lately, but that song left me weeping (again). second, did anyone record this show!?!?! i NEED a copy. i have several other patty shows taht i'd be willing to trade or whatever, i just need to get my hands on a copy.... :) thanks... sigh, Sarah ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "hey Mister Paper better get your story straight we're not from the sixties and it's Sarah with an H" -- Sarah Slean _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Aug 2002 22:55:36 EDT From: FlamingRed74@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: Detroit's Gem Theater show The new song is entitled "The Moon Is Going To Follow Me Home", as best I can figure. She debuted it awhile back, but seemed to only play it on nights with a full moon for awhile. Then she played it in Harrisburg back in June 24th (on a full moon), and has been playing it at probably over 50% of the shows since then. It DOES seem to leave everyone breathless.. so it's not just you, Sarah. :-) Dave In a message dated 8/7/2002 10:16:07 PM Eastern Daylight Time, toricrzy@hotmail.com writes: > first, does anyone know what song it was > that she sang about "drank all i could swallow, now the moon's > gonna follow me home" ??? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Aug 2002 23:01:27 EDT From: FlamingRed74@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: Darcie Miner Band's CD In a message dated 8/6/2002 2:12:23 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Lgarvey2001@attbi.com writes: > Hi guys, > > I just wanted you guys to know I got my Darcie Miner cd today from > CDNOW.com > and have just finished listening to it. I've been trying to tell everyone about Darcie, for oh.. about 3 years now.. For those of you that are interested, there is a very nice writeup that just went up on the website for one of the coolest clubs in PA. Darcie will be playing there tomorrow. You can check the (5 page) article out here: Chameleon Club And for those of you within driving distance, as always.. you'd be well advised to come and check her out! Go Darcie!
