Saw Patty at the Pearl Street Night Club in Northampton, MA on Saturday night. Great crowd of over 500 people. She was complaining of having a cold but I couldn't hear a hint of trouble as she sang so powerfully. You were right...it was one nice concert I won't forget. As for the Jackson Going Home DVD...My plans fell thru for Friday night and I never got to see it at my brother's house (He actually has the DVD) I am planning on buying it soon. I'll let you know the differences, if any, afterward. Sean ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Jul 2002 00:17:20 -0400 From: "Lisa Zwick" Subject: MM: Patty at the Bowery Just got back from seeing Patty :) Wow. It was just incredible. I thought she might cut it really short b/c of her laringitis, but she pushed herself all the way. Don and i were right in front of her, leaning against the stage. It was amazing. And I realized, if you have anough room to breathe, and can see the artist, standing concerts can be better than sitting. I was much more into it than at the sitting concert. It was just great to be able to look straight up at her. And it probably gives her more support, everyone alert, instead of seeing ppl relaxed, falling asleep in their chairs. And seeing her smiling so much, enjoying herself even while struggling with a sore throat, made it even better. I felt so bad for her when Doug went nuts w/ his guitar, overpowering her voice, and she looked like she was working so hard to be heard. I don't get why he did that. But she still kept smiling... Ok, I'm off to bed. I just wanted to write something while I still feel the concert. Can't wait for tomorrow :) - -Lisa ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V6 #269 *********************************
