'you never get what you want' was awesome, that "do ya baby" at the end made me weak in the knees. 'let him fly' was also outstanding. it was the first time i've heard her play 'florida' live, but that's about all i can say about it. oh, and 'nobody's crying' and 'ruby's arms' were both sublime that's all i have time for. off on a 5 day camping excursion. amber "Through Movement We Find Health" The Nia Technique ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 May 2002 17:30:14 GMT From: Jon Schneider Subject: Re:MM: Re: Patty to be on the CBS Sunday Morning show! I checked out the cbs sunday morning website and there's no mention of patty in the story blurbs, but there is a segment on CDs for various occasions and a link to amazon.com for 1000 Kisses, as well as Gillian Welch, Norah Jones, Pete Townshend, so it looks like she'll just be recommended. Pretty cool, but I was hoping for a more in-depth feature. I'll still watch and hope she gets some airtime. Not a fan I tell ya!!! She should be stuck in the nose bleed section! We should all meet at Stock's on 2nd.... Or hell even next door at the GMan - although G Man food SUCKS. I dunno if you agree but 2nd St. is turning out scary.. All those limos and raver wannabe's. Patty will teach them what great music is all about. I'm so happy that she is playing the Whitaker. For those of you within driving distance, it would be a wise move to head towards the Harrisburg, PA area tomorrow. Darcie & her band are playing TWO shows in the area tomorrow. One is at City Island in Harrisburg, an all-age show at 4pm, so you can bring the little pumpkin-heads, ..if you have any. Her other show is just a short drive down I-81 at the Hotpoint Inn in Shippensburg. So if you're feeling daring, you can do the Darcie Miner Band double header like me! :-) Don't confuse all these "Burgs" with PittsBURGH though.. they're all totally different.. Yes, Yes.. Darcie opening for Patty G! At the Whitaker Center! YaaaHoo! Just the thought sends little chills down my spine. ;-) All you guys would HAVE TO come out for that one if it happens. A Patty show, with many an MMer in attendance, AND a real, live MMer actually opening the show! It's sure to be a HUMdinger! LOL (no nasty comments there, ok Gary??) Have a Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone. Be careful with those barbecue grills, they're dangerous things... I don't want to hear any horrifying stories about anyone burning their foot off or something..
