I've bought it there before as well. Its a great magazine. I would think most of the Patty fans would find quite a bit of interest. There's more country in it than most Patty fans may like, but there's a lot of great music, mostly underground or underplayed on commercial radio (like Patty). I'm planning on subscribing myself. >It's a little costly ($7), but it's pretty difficult to locate copies elsewhere. The Patty article is 9-10 pages long. 6 pages of text and the rest are pictures, etc. There is also a full page ad for 1000 Kisses earlier in the issue. Probably not going to be much more of interest to anyone in the magazine ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I forgot all about the dancing tatooed girl who walked down to the stage! She seemed to come out of nowhere. I think someone up by the stage gave her a seat when the security guard came by for the second or third time. You also forgot all the funny comments about Doug looking like he's still at the prom and kidding around about him in his trans am at the prom. She was so relaxed and funny. I would have liked to have been able to meet up with you all at the bar across the street. But that downpour of rain had me backed up in traffic after work. I got to my friend's house later than planned, and the whole night just went off schedule from there. We didn't get there until after the opening act had already started. I do remember someone yelling up requesting Be Careful after she had to stopped. I couldn't see you though. Of course, I didn't know that was you until your email. Someone yelled up about liking Brian's boots I remember. And I liked how Patty compared Table Talk pies with our tasty cake. And it was nice of her to mention WXPN, who always have kind words to say about Patty. :-) Steve "Don't just exist. It looks like Patty will record an episode of the World Cafe soon. The most recent set of tour dates that ATO sent out includes the following listing: Sat 6/29 WYEP/Acoustic Cafe - Pittsburgh, PA I think it is a slight typo. I know that Patty recorded an episode of the Acoustic Cafe while in Ann Arbor recently. The World Cafe, however, is normally recorded in Philadelphia. But, they record 5 shows in Pittsburgh each June at the Andy Warhol museum. The whole event is co-sponsored by WYEP, the coolest station in the world! :) If it works like it has in the past, WYEP members are given first dibs at the tickets for the recording of the shows. Most shows do sell out before going on sale to the general population. SOOOO, if you are thinking of going, you should renew your WYEP membership! Even if you are not in the listening area, you can listed online at http://wyep.org/ . Even if you don't get tickets to the shows, all 5 acts put on one free outdoor show. So, anyone can go to that!! WYEP has not announced the lineup yet, so I hope they will confirm my suspicions! They have announced the dates. It is the same date. Will all those who's name's appear in bold (the branches), please contact me, to start the process. Children (those in a smaller font size), please contact your parents (the branch at the top of your list, in bold), for information on when where and how your individual trade will take place. I recommend for the children to send blank CD's and return postage to your parents. But please arrange the trade in the most accommodating way possible for your parent. This show will be 2 CD's in length. I have attempted to provide the name's of everyone, when I received them myself, and all attempts have been made to assure accuracy. If there is an error, please, contact your PARENT and inform them of the issue. In my opinion, it is reminiscent of Beth Orton, but without drum machines, and as I said, a little jazzier. It makes me want a glass of wine. It's got a nice Hank Williams cover too. I had not planned on buying it until No Depression ran such a great review of a recent show of hers. It's not like ND to review artists in the vein of Norah Jones, so I figured it must be something pretty great.
