RE: the discussion about one getting one's hands on the silver bell album, was there ever a solution posed? I would be extremely excited about getting a copy eventhough my wife would take the album to work and I would only get to listen to it if I was really well behaved. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was about to embark on a fine evening at a Patty concert, and learned about the tragic Columbine (sp?) killings. It's hard to believe that has been 3 years now... A very sad day was turned into something beautiful once in the presence of Patty. I was accompanied to the show by the ALSO beautiful, fellow MM'er, & very talented Nancy Micciulla. We were seated front row, just beside Patty's mic stand at the Painted Bride in Philly. This show was definitely one of THE MOST memorable Patty shows I've ever been to, and definitely lists up there as one of my personal favorite Patty shows ever. Among the many highlights, her cover of the Smiths "Half A Person" was absolutely awesome. The venue was perfect, & the crowd was SO enthusiastic from start to finish. Since that day, I have always hoped that Patty would come back to the Painted Bride. With the recent sales of 1,000 Kisses, it appears that those days could be long gone. If memory serves me right, she had sold out 3 shows in the Philly area in a 4 day span. (2 at the Painted Bride, and 1 just across the river in Jersey) I was SO proud of her.. :-) Anyway, just wanted to share why the date 4/20 will always stand out in my mind. I was the first to respond to Jen's post about the extra tickets (see below) and got them, but now I can't go. I emailed to let her know, but haven't heard back, so I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that she would want me to offer them up on the list again. I have all of the instructions on how to get the tix, so the first one who emails me who can actually GO (you have to be there an hour before doors), gets the tickets. AAAAGGGHHH! My second free tickets for Patty and I can't go (the first was the West 57th taping a couple years ago). Let me know!
