He hasn't done much right in the past 5 years if you ask me... The quality of his work has gone progressively downhill from album to album. Note that he re-released "Fragile" in the wake of Sep 11 rather than anything from the horrific "Mercury Rising" or even the more palatable "Brand New Day". Even he knows his older work was better.... Don't get me wrong - I'm a fan, I LOVE the good stuff, but that doesn't mean I have to love the crap too. The same goes for Patty too- she's great and all, but that doesn't mean she's flawless. I would have much rather had one of her other unreleased songs on Flaming Red in the place of Big Daddy which I find to be lyrically vague, emotionally dull and musically uninspired. And I know that's just a matter of personal taste- no insult meant to those who love the song. My point is that fanship doesn't mean blind adulation. Or does it? What do you all think? Aaron Oh, and for a brand new C.D. like Alanis' "Under Rug Swept" I could go to Best Buy or Target here in L.A. and get it for $11.99. But in the case of Patty, that won't be an option, at least not at Target where it only gets in if it'll be a top 10 hit... I will probably pre-order from ATO if the price is reasonable A)because $17.99 is ridiculous, esp. for a store like CDNow that has less overhead than a brick&mortar like Tower and B) because the label WILL get more of the money without the middleman, which at the very least rewards them for signing and distributing Patty's music too us so that we didn't have to wait any longer. Patty won't get much money from the CD no matter where you buy it. On Tue, 26 Feb 2002 16:01:46 -0700 "Corey Atkins" writes: > Yeah, the Olympics were cool.
