For those of you who've never heard of it, it's a musical with nothing but ABBA tunes in it. It was cute. It wasn't deep. It definitely wasn't deeply moving, but it was fun. This got me to thinking (danger Will Robinson), wouldn't Patty's music be great in a musical? I'm picturing tragic love story. Patty'd be the best lead of course. But if she couldn't do it, the lead would have to be a grown-up woman with a voice. Some post-pubescent 20 year old who's been singing as the Little Mermaid at Disney World for the past 5 years wouldn't quite get it. I think it'd be a big hit! Pamela S. (Who's seeing Patty at the Ark for the second time in April. Can't wait!) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Feb 2002 22:21:10 EST From: Tricia9999@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: Patty Play In a message dated 02/23/2002 9:36:39 AM Pacific Standard Time, Jynx419@aol.com writes: > This got me to thinking (danger Will Robinson), wouldn't Patty's music be > great in a musical? I'm picturing tragic love story. Of course, this isn't necessarily related and this is nothing new to long time Patty fans, but for some of the newer members of the list or newer fans....Patty does have a couple of songs on the soundtrack for the movie Niagra, Niagra. It is a very touching if depressing movie, and the soundtrack includes other wonderful stuff from Martin Sexton, Cowboy Junkies, Lucinda Williams, Katie Belle and others. I recommend both the movie and the soundrack. Tricia ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V6 #57 ********************************
