I was just struck by Wamfest , a festival for women's music , bringing up the name that is surely infamous among feminists for his objectifying lyrics. As for Alanis , I think "Jagged Little Pill " is a great album , but she outdid herself when she did "Uninvited" , as powerful a piece of music as I've ever heard. More so than her "angry" music. Any band or musician can express passion by screaming or playing loud. Very few can do it in such measured tones , re: Patty Like any uncharted territory I must seem greatly intriguing You speak of my love Like you have experienced love Like mine before Alanis Morissette "Uninvited" Don Have any of you George Michael bashers heard his CD "Listen Without Prejudice?" I love artists who do this because it just shows that the music is coming straight from their hearts and souls. It totally blows me away. I love Patty so much because you never really know what to expect, and when she goes "over the top" I just get this amazing feeling...I really can't explain it.
