Have any of you George Michael bashers heard his CD "Listen Without Prejudice?" It's a pretty amazing record. The guy can write and he sure as hell can sing. It's a very personal record--one which almost nobody bought because it's not at all like his Wham! stuff, or the "Faith" record, which is why Sony dropped him. His song "Mother's Pride" about three generations of mothers losing their soldier-sons is a real stand out and is a lot closer to the sort of thing we all love from Patty Griffin than you'd expect from him. Remember that Alanis Morrisette started out as a teenage disco bopper too. People do grow and change. "Listen Without Prejudice." Interesting title, no?
