MMers , Can't wait to hear Patty singing in French. One of my favorite old songs is "Plaisir d'Amour" from Joan Baez's 2nd album. The French phrasings definitely add a dimension to it.She sings the lyrics in French & English. I spent over an hour , on the net & in my French-English dictionary , trying to define the title. Couldn't find "Pa" or "Min" anywhere , although I found a song title , "Pa Janvier" in a Cajun music search. I'm guessing that it's a Cajun French phrase. From what I found , my best guess at an English translation would be something like ; "Come January , allow me to go" Your eyes kissed mine I saw the love in them shine You brought me heaven right then When your eyes kissed mine Giovanni Martini / Music Jean Lenoir / Lyrics "Plaisir d'Amour" Performed by Joan Baez Don "Pa Janvier, Laisse Moi Min Aller". > tim in boise ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V6 #1 *******************************
