Is this old news? I have just received an advance cd called Evangeline Made: A Tribute To Cajun Music. It features a pretty stellar line-up of musicians doing cajun songs. I'm not familiar with the woman who put it together - Ann Savoy? But she must have a lot of friends because this cd features Linda Ronstadt, Linda Thompson (who supposedly isn't singing anymore), Richard Thompson, David Johanssen, Maria McKee, Nick Lowe, Rodney Crowell, and Patty too! Patty does a lovely song called "Pa Janvier, Laisse Moi Min Aller". The advance doesn't list a release date but my guess is it'll list one at the website: www.vanguardrecords.com. Vanguard is a great label for artists. I think this release could be the O Brother Where Art Thou/Buena Vista Social Club cd of next year.
