The trouble is, I don't really know where to start, so why not with the digital veterans of MM? I'm planning to acquire a CD burner this very month, and welcome any informed opinions you sages can offer. TIA! Last night was the annual Over the Rhine chirstmas show, in Cincinnati. I know a few people have mentioned this band on the list. It was an incredible concert. Opened with Erin McKeown singing 6 songs. Short set, but incredible. She has a large energy for her little person. Great performance. She had the attention of the audience. Following her set, was Julie and Buddy Miller. I am familiar with them before the concert, but didn't realize how COUNTRY some of their stuff can be. But, a great performance. Julie sang Broken Thing, and had me in tears. She is such a strange soul to watch perform. And, Buddy.. of course, incredible guitarist. Following them was Over The Rhine. Played christmas songs, old songs, new songs, other people's songs.. Brought out Julie, Buddy, and Erin to sing 'Pilgrim' by Steve Earle ( i think that was the title, it pentioned a pilgrim on the road, lord...etc) Since Patty comes nowhere near here... i still wanted to be able to give some concert review. If any of these bands come through your town.. you should check them out. Incredible show, matthew ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Dec 2001 15:14:29 EST From: FlamingRed74@cs.com Subject: Re: MM: short and sweet Nancy said: >>"i can't wait until april 9th!!!">> .. me either, wanna hibernate together?? :-) *Dave's shameless attempt at getting to "sleep with" a beautiful girl* ha ha!
