Someone sent the email to the list about the ATO Records sampler with a Patty G. song on it that you get if you preorder the David Gray DVD. Anyway, if you go to http://atorecords.com/sampler/ , you can listen to a 60 second clip of "Chief." BTW, this clip sounds pretty darn produced to me, it really doesn't sound like a live track. Man... of all songs to put on the sampler they chose "Chief"... It is probably the only of Patty's songs that I trule dislike... and if they were going to put any part of that song on there why wouldn't they just PLEASE put the end where she's singing something like "if they could see me when I'm flying, ... the way i laugh, the way I fly... " i dunno the lyrics but that is the best part of the song... I love the story the song tells, and it's just such a driving song. And who knows what the final studio version will sound like?
